Each List Profile has a unique code.
The main classification codes are as follows:
"A" - Asian Lists
"B" - Business Lists
"C" - Consumer Lists
"DR" - Direct Response Lists
"MG" - Magazine & Book Buyers Lists
"G" - Government Lists
"E" - Email Lists |
| Quantity |
The total quantity available on a list. As might be expected, a
list is changing constantly, with data being both added and deleted.
It is advisable that quantities be confirmed prior to budgeting. |

A description of the audience targeted by the list. |
| Selection Criteria |
Every list has a range of selection criteria that can be used to
ensure the selection you are making is best suited to your needs.
Some examples include:
Postcode - you can target by specific postcode(s).
State - you can target by specific states(s).
Random Test - if 2,000 names are selected as a test from a
list with a total of say, 20,000 then one in every tenth record
would be selected. |
| Format |
This specifies the various formats that the list is available in.
The most common is a "Standard ASCII Comma Delimited File"
which can be provided on floppy disk or as an email attachment.
Other formats include:
"Self Adhesive Labels", which are peel off labels that can be
applied manually or by machine to an envelope.
"Telemarketing Report", which is a hard copy printout of the
list, containing a telephone number.
A range of other formats are available, including Microsoft Excel,
Microsoft Access, .dbf files, fixed length ASCII files etc. |
| List Rental or Purchase |
Normally a list is provided on a rental basis, whereby it can be
mailed to once only.
It is possible to purchase some lists for unlimited usage. Where the
purchase option is available the rates will be indicated on the list
profile.
Different levels of data are available for Rental or Purchase:
Mailing Data - Includes a mailing address with contact details.
Telemarketing Data - Includes a telephone number with contact details
Mailing & Telemarketing Data - Includes an address and
telephone number with contact details.
Faxing Data - Includes a fax number with contact details.
Email Data - Includes an email address with contact details |
| Set Up |
This refers to computer set up and selection. Generally it covers
the selection and production of the list using any of the selection
criteria available. In some cases complex selections may incur an
additional Set Up. |
| Delivery |
A delivery fee is charged for the despatch of each list ordered. |
| Deliverability |
Every list has a percentage of deliverability, which is a guide as
to how the list should perform. If a list has a deliverability of
97%, then 97% of it should be able to be delivered by Australia Post. |
| Minimum Order |
Every list has a minimum order requirement. This is expressed as
either a dollar amount or a minimum quantity of records. Note:
Where a dollar amount is expressed, the set up amount is included in
the minimum order value. |
| Personalisation |
A list is personalised when an individuals name is present (Initial
& Last name or First and Last name). A fully personalised record
(an address) contains a salutation (Mr, Mrs, Ms, etc.), initial and
surname. Not all personalised lists will have a salutation. If you
require a fully personalised record with salutation, then this must
be specified when placing your order. It is possible that within a
personalised list that not all records will have a salutation. This
should be taken into account when printing personalised letters. |
